Paul Gary Bograd

Based in Manila, Paul Bograd has been a Senior Advisor to Martin Yupangco and Optima Strategies since 1998. He is an international communications advisor specializing in economic policy communications, crisis and risk management, electoral strategies, public and regulatory issues management & communications, institutional brand development, and behavioral economics.
Mr. Bograd has been a leader in the practical application, development and implementation of a new discipline of "Behavioral Economics and Communications” wherein communications, electoral campaign processes and commercial marketing techniques are applied in order to modify individual and institutional economic behaviors in support of corporate strategic brand perception and macroeconomic strategies. The application of "Behavioral Economics" theory to market-based products and services; commercial risk; crisis and regulatory issues management, applies these same communications techniques and experiences to the strategic management of commercial, social, economic, cultural, political and spiritual effects on brand and crisis management. This process has been especially effective in country branding and product source marketing.
Mr. Bograd has served as a senior and principal electoral campaign advisor and strategist to national and presidential elections in the United States, Latin America, Russia, and Southeast Asia—including successful presidential elections in the Republic of the Philippines (specifics upon request).
Mr. Bograd consults business, corporations, governments, and newly privatized entities with brand growth, political, marketing, sociological, and cultural challenges. He consults on crisis and intangible risk management, privatizations, and unsolicited mergers & takeovers.
Mr. Bograd hold a B.S. in Communications from Ohio University, and has served as the Associate Director of the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
